Use of the word 'Amateur' /'Amatuer'

Odd subject for my first Journal entry, but I suppose this is kind of like a rant, lol.
I Googled the word 'Amatuer' - so I could find out the correct way to spell it.
Normally when I Google a word by itself (no matter what word) one of the top web links is a definition, or Google shows a link saying something like 'Did you mean Mississippi?'
Well, this time I just got flooded with a big ol' bunch of porn... which would be nice if I was looking for porn, but I WASN'T.
Since when was 'amatuer' so synonymous with porn, and shouldn't Google have some filter or something so that you can't search up random, mostly illegal porn??
